The Christian Mother

Sometimes I took for granted

The Christian Mother who was here.

The Mother who had raised me,

with her tender loving care.

 

The Mother who helped me grow

In a fine, Christian home.

The Mother who had taught me

With GOD we are not alone.

 

The Mother who has laughed with me,

When all was going well.

The Mother who has picked me up

The times that I have failed.

 

The Mother I didn't fully appreciate

Until I was fully grown.

The sacrifices she made for me

As time quickly moved along.

 

The Mother with such Christian faith

That helped me from the start.

The Mother who I love and cherish,

And forever treasure in my Heart.

 On Easter weekend we had our "Hordyk" family photos taken by Mr MW.  Here are dad and mum with 22 of their 23 grandchildren, Liana not born yet!

Jan's birthday in February

 

                                               Calvin had a Japanese Day at school...

 All the kiddies drawing outside while waiting for daddy to come home.  Not the clearest picture, but a cute memory :-)

Katelyn went out for Coffee with Jan and I one mornig while the other kids were as school.  Here she is enjoying her babycino

One Saturday day our kids decided to ake dinner for us.  We weren't allowed in the kitchen.  I had the main food in the oven already, but the kids made all the extras.  It was very well done and we really had a wonderful dinner altogether, candles and all!!

In the holidays we went to a ceramic cafe with Ouma and Joslyn and her kids.  The children could choose what they liked to paint.  Here are some pictures of what they made.  It still needs to be glazed and fired in the kiln.  Will show some after photos at a later date.

We went on a holiday to Bremer Bay with Jan & Carla and family in December/January, for 2 weeks.  It was a really great holiday!!!  Lovely people, lovely beaches, lovely camping, lovely food!!!
